Bedrijven Kontakt dagen in Maastricht on 13 and 14 October

On 13 and 14 October you will be our guest at the first South Africa forum at the Bedrijven Kontakt Dagen in Maastricht. A yearly exhibition with over 6000 visitors divided over the two exhibition days.  Maastricht is located in the south of the Netherlands, surrounded by Belgium and Germany and close to France. Maastricht has a more southern relaxed atmosphere than other parts of The Netherlands, and attracts many international tourists not only for its rich history (founded by the Romans) but also for its beauty.  he city center is split in two by the river Maas, with the train station located in the smaller part of the centre. The most famous square is the Vrijthof near the St. Servatius church which is named after the sacred St. Servatius, the saint of Catholic Maastricht. The current image of Maastricht is being a gastronomic city. The history of Maastricht goes back to 50 B.C., when then Romans built a settlement by the main road, near a ford in the river. This makes Maastricht the oldest city of the Netherlands. The city’s name is derived from the Latin “Mosae Trajectum”, the site where the river Maas could be crossed. Maastricht, quality and diversity of surroundings. Thus, for years now, Maastricht has been home for conventions and business meetings. It isn’t a coincidence that the unification of Europe was sealed here with the Treaty of Maastricht. Many international institutes and companies have found their way to Maastricht. They operate in various fields and many institutes are connected to the Maastricht University or the Maastricht School of Management. During the BKD days you will be able to meet various companies in the South African pavilion stand arranged by OAVM. On the morning of the first exhibition day you will be able to participate at the exiting program 'De economie draait door' at the Auditorium in the MECC hosted by the famous Dutch talk host Mathijs van Nieuwkerk.
