South meets South took place on 17 October 2007 in Maastricht

OAVM and Dirk Brand from the Global Strategic Network toast on the introduction of Groenland wines in the Netherlands

First time 'South goes South'.

On 17 October 2007 the first time 'South meets South'was organized. South Africa was presented as a great business opportunity to companies in 'South Limburg' and companies from the 'Euregio' Belgium and Germany. After the opening of the seminar Guus van Oostrom from Panalpina gave an insight in how Panalpina 'survives' in South Africa for quite some years.

World Cup soccer 2010

Dirk Brand from the Global Strategic Network South Africa explained to the participants what the effect is of hosting the World Cup soccer 2010 in South Africa. He also highlighted the role of the Western Cape in promoting South Africa as a export opportunity.

Groenland wines

Dirk Brand even considers the Benelux as an excellent export market for South African products such as for example wine. In cooperation with OAVM he succesfulfound a local winery who is willing to import the wine of Groenland winery from Stellenbosch. The wine of Groenland wines was tasted by the participants of the South meets South seminar.

South meets South in 2008
