First presetation in South Africa
For the very first time visitors of MARKEX had the privilege to witness the results of our design and being able to order 'African Leadership Shirts'. Moren than 12500 visitors visited MARKEX and most of them visited also the stand of the African Leadership Shirts.
Encouraging
The reactions of the public where very encouraging and overwhelming. The basic but beautiful design and the fact the shirts are being produced in South Africa suprised visitors of our stand in a very pleasant way. South Africans are very proud on their flag and most business men and buyers recognize the potential of the shirt. That the release of the shirt was in the same week of the kick off of the Confederation Cup helped as well. One thing was clear: South Africans are ready for the World Cup 2010! But the intention is that the African Leadership Shirt project goes beyond this great event and contributes to the creation of jobs in the retail branche that suffers from the import of cheap material from China.
Succes garanteed
Even if the stadiums will not be filled untill the last seat because a lot of sponsors can not find the time to visit the game will the FIFA World Cup be succesful. However rugby and cricket and number 1 and 2 in the South African Sports charts soccer is running up. Especially because of the huge media attention started during the Confederation Cup. Huge billboards along the highways and the numerous commercials on tv and radio will drive South Africa 'soccer crazy'. On MARKEX you could witness all the product alrady flooding the market ubfortunately not all of them being manufatured in South Africa. But that's business. South Africans are enthousiastic about the World Cup and pleasant objective. The 'vuvuzela's' could not be overheard during the MARKEX and was just a fade impression was the visitors will greet in the stadiums during the World Cup 2010.

As we hoped the MARKEX was very succesful and strenghtened us in our mission promoting South Africa as a business opportunity because of its excellent products of an excellent quality. Even South Africans seem more confident now that they can compete with imported goods from abroad. It was good to see that a lot of the products exhibited at MARKEX have an origin in South Africa.
