Let's Meet Africa
and Do Business
Who is CSR Netherlands?
CSR Netherlands is a foundation which promotes corporate social responsibility (CSR). It is funded by the Dutch government, and has a focus on small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
People, Planet and Profit
CSR is the integration of environmental, social and economic considerations in the day-to-day decisions of a business – often referred to as integrating “people, planet and profit”. This means acknowledging and managing the positive and negative environmental and social impacts of your business. These impacts might include safe working conditions, equal opportunity employment, community involvement, environmentally benign products, climate change, etc. CSR also extends to the companies that form your supply chain.
CSR starts with your suppliers
Sustainable supply chain management means ensuring that your suppliers and business partners apply similar standards to your own in areas such as employee welfare, child labor and waste management. The issues will vary from country to country, but CSR provides a consistent approach that can help to manage business risk, stimulate innovation and support sustainable development.
CSR Roadshow
On Friday 7 November from 10.30 a.m. to 12 a.m. CSR Netherlands will present a Roadshow during the exhibition Let's meet Africa and Do Business.
